WALT DISNEY WORLD Resort
WALT DISNEY WORLD Resort’s 4 theme parks and 2 water parks are, of course, the main attraction and offer a vast range of fantastic experiences. From up-close encounters with the wildlife at DISNEY ANIMAL KINGDOM Theme Park to meeting all your favourite characters at the MAGIC KINGDOM Park, WALT DISNEY WORLD Resort genuinely lives up to the hype. On hot days (and there are plenty of these in Florida!), the water parks really come into their own. If you’re feeling the heat, try cooling off in DISNEY’S TYPHOON LAGOON Water Park wave pool; or mix ‘chill’ with ‘thrill’ on the Summit Plummet slide at DISNEY’S BLIZZARD BEACH Water Park (water parks seasonal operations). If the water itself doesn’t cool you down, the 60mph high-speed plunge certainly will!
Downtown Disney
Central to Lake Buena Vista itself is the magnificent entertainment area DOWNTOWN DISNEY. It’s filled with family fun in the form of themed restaurants, incredible toy shops and the excitement of the DISNEYQUEST Indoor Interactive Theme Park. With exceptional restaurants, upmarket shopping and the wonderful La NoubaTM by Cirque du Soleil®, DOWNTOWN DISNEY will appeal to all age groups any time of the day or night.
Dining
There is a wide array of restaurant choice in Lake Buena Vista. Why not dine at the wonderful T-Rex Café. This dinosaur-themed restaurant (sister of the ever popular, jungle-themed Rainforest Café®) and serves family-friendly meals in a fun, prehistoric-themed environment where life-size dinosaurs ‘come alive’ to the amazement and delight of both kids and kids-at-heart! Other family favourites include well-known chain restaurants like TGI Fridays and Planet Hollywood.® Budding detectives will enjoy the atmosphere at Sherlock Holmes-themed
Baskervilles; or take the theme a step further at the MurderWatch Mystery Dinner Show, where diners turn sleuth to try and solve the crime – if they can concentrate between trips to the sumptuous buffet!
Family Fun
There’s lots more family fun to be found all around the area. Boy racers will enjoy taking a spin in a NASCAR-style stock car at Richard Petty’s Driving Experience. But don’t worry if you’re not feeling the need for speed – with other choices ranging from
miniature golf at Pirates Cove and Fantastia Fairways; discount shopping at Orlando Premium Outlets and Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores; and all manner of amusement rides and other fun-filled activities, you definitely won’t miss out on the action. With all these wonders lying just on the doorstep of Lake Buena Vista, you can be sure there’s never a dull moment in this magical, unique destination.

Lake Buena Vista, located to the south west of Orlando, is a pleasantly landscaped and manicured area with green lawns and spotless pavements creating a relaxed holiday ambience. It’s also incredibly close to WALT DISNEY WORLD Resort and the magnificent DOWNTOWN DISNEY entertainment complex. As well as some great shopping centres, there are water parks, a mini-golf course and sporting opportunities galore!
