There ate two parts to Havana: La Habana Vieja (Old Havana) built by the Spanish in the 16th and 17th centuries; and the newer Central Havana built in the 18th Century to a British design. Old Havana is not only a city of staggering beauty but also one of great character – make sure you explore at a leisurely pace to ensure you discover its many delightful hidden corners! Central Havana is the more open part of the city, allowing more, and bigger public spaces.
