St Lucia Information
An island of extraordinary natural beauty, St Lucia's dramatic twin coastal Pitons soar sheer from the sea swathed in a carpet of brilliant emerald, her steep coastlines and unspoilt reefs perfect for snorkelling and scuba diving in the crystal clear waters.
St Lucia is a beautiful natural paradise, her spectacular underwater reefs home to rainbow-hued tropical fish, huge barrel sponges, soft corals and sunken ships. In the magnificent rainforests of the interior the air trills to the call of brilliantly plumed tropical birds including the rare St Lucian parrot, the Jacquot. All this natural unspoilt scenery is fiercely protected with access to the rainforest and all offshore reefs strictly controlled by permit.Bursting with the romantic energy of the majestic pitons, the island is lush and green and boasts an array of different beaches and scenes, from the white powder sand beach of Reduit to the darker sand beaches of Smugglers, the calm Caribbean Sea to the drama of the Atlantic Ocean. You have the walk in aromatic volcano, to the beautiful dense rain forest. Nature is a real priority out here with hump back whales and bottle nose dolphins just of the coast and turtles coming a shore from March to September and of cause you can’t go far without seeing the tiny elegant humming birds and hearing the music of the native cricket. Night life is low key with Rodney bay in the north holding the most mouth watering selections of restaurants and bars.
