Southern Florida Information
Eating out, Miami Style!
Fancy a little Greek, Italian, or even some Lebanese? Downtown Miami has the most diverse choice of restaurants and cafés to suit every taste and better still, all pockets!
The famed ‘New World’ cuisine, a blend of Latin, Caribbean, Asian and American cooking, is rife here and the well know Floribbean style food is a must try!
South Beach is world-famous, boasting the coolest restaurants in Miami. From Sidewalk café’s; the perfect place to sit and people watch, to fine dining at waterfront restaurants. Keep the kids entertained at one of the crab houses where they can hammer their food with wooden mallets or let them make their own desserts at a one of the local ice cream parlours.
..And the night life
Picture neon lights donning every funky art deco building, a warm and hip atmosphere as you wonder which of the several dozen bars and nightclubs to try.
By night Miami is filled with a buzzing energy, much like that of the day time but with music and laughter spilling out on to the streets and classic 1950’s American cars cruising by.
Miami is divided into several distinct neighbourhoods, including Little Havana, where Hispanic culture prevails and Coconut Grove, which is ultra chic at night. South Beach is thought of as the hippest neighbourhood south of Atlanta, when that sun goes down it really kicks in to gear, it’s time to party until dawn!
Fort Lauderdale
Boasting over 23 miles of pristine sun-drenched beaches Fort Lauderdale is an exceptionally popular destination and has become one of the trendiest spots in America.
Fabulous beaches!
With 8 distinct beachside communities you are sure to be able to find a beach scene that fits your style; whether it’s playing volleyball with the kids on Deerfield Beach, kayaking off Dania Beach, cycling the boardwalk at Hollywood Beach or just enjoying the scenery at little Hillsboro Beach, Fort Lauderdale has it covered.
If you like your holiday a little more action packed, adrenaline junkies can grab their gear and head off to one of more than 100 dive sites dotted off the coast. Other not to be missed activities include glass-bottom boats excursions, ocean fishing or snorkelling at one of the many accessible local reefs.

Iconic American retailers are plentiful at the huge Sawgrass Outlet Mills where there are over 400 stores to be explored, not to mention dozens of restaurants, Wanadoo City® kids world and a multi screen cinema. In nearby Boca Raton there’s no shortage of opulence either, with glitzy shopping and dining, a modern art museum and the sprawling South Beach Park.
