We like to make sure that what you pay for your holiday doesn't impact on your holiday spending money, That's why we sell Dollar's pre-paid Fully inclusive insurance and local charge packages with all Travel City Direct Holidays, Extra costs involved in your car hire such as top up insurance, taxes, access fees and other charges are all taken car of so you can get on your way pretty much as soon as you arrive.

Travel City Direct offers two types of prepaid insurance packages; Comprehensive & Platinum both options can save you as much as £100 per 2 week rental on local rates & ensure you and your family are protected and can relax and enjoy the drive ahead.

Travel City Direct Comprehensive Option includes:

LDW - Loss Damage Waiver

This protects your vehicle against damage or total loss in the event of a claim including theft and vandalism to the rented vehicle. Normally charged at $18.99* per car per day locally. Basic Third Party, Covers you against third party claims / liability of up to $10,000 state minimum per person.

SLI - Supplementary Liability Insurance

Extra protection against third party injury claims is by far the most important cover we can recommend & you can buy. Bear in mind that basic third covers you for only $10,000 state minimum and could leave you and your family exposed financially as some US drivers carry little or no insurance. The extra cover provided to property or injury of a third party is increased to $1,000,000 maximum per accident. Normally charged at $14.99* per car per day locally.

UMP - Uninsured / Underinsured

Motorists protection. Covers the renter(s) and family members travelling together in the rented vehicle with up to $300,000 of non-stacked coverage for bodily injury sustained while driving the rental car, and caused by another driver who has no insurance, minimal insurance or is a hit & run driver. Normally charged at over $90* per driver per 2 week rental.

*Florida State Environment Surcharge $2.05 per car per day. Florida State Sales Tax - included on all the items above. Airport Access Fee - 10% of the total amount.

Travel City Direct Platinum Option includes:

All the same insurance cover, sales tax & access fees as Comprehensive option PLUS:

• Unlimited additional drivers over 25yrs. Normally charged at $9*per driver per day locally.
• Initial tank of fuel worth up to $80* per car on collection

Additional Charges

• Child seats $9* per day locally
• Drivers under 25yrs $25* per driver per day locally
• Additional drivers $9* per driver per day locally
• Tank of Fuel up to $80* per vehicle
• Out of State charges (varies according to state visited)
• Personal Accident or effects (PAE) optional

ROADSAFE

This is an optional cover available to you from Dollar Rent a Car, the Roadsafe covers you for certain things that are not included within your LDW insurance. Such as, Locking your keys in the car, battery service in case your car does not start, a flat tyre service, and lastly a fuel service in case you run out of gas. Please ask your sales advisor when booking.
