If you want to explore all that Florida has to offer, then hiring a car is a great way to do it.  From roomy people carriers to sporty convertibles, we've got the lot! 

Most of our Florida holidays have car hire included.  You do have the option to opt for transfers instead, but remember with the size of Disney area being greater than the size of Greater Manchester a car will allow you to get the most out of your holiday. 

All our Cars are supplied by Dollar Rent-a-car. They come with unlimited mileage and are always supplied at the right size for your party. However, we cannot know how much luggage you will take. We try and describe the boot (trunk) size as accurately as possible but American boot sizes tend to be a bit smaller than ours so please upgrade with us if you need to.

There are no out of state charges and no one way drop off fees in Florida.  Meaning you can pick your car up in Orlando and drop it off in Miami, giving you free rein to explore the State.  The Dollar depots operate on a 24hr clock and thanks to our special arrangement, cars can be returned within a 2 hour period of grace from the time the car was collected. After this an additional day or hour rate will apply, so get to the airport in good time!

At Orlando airport, Dollar now offer you a chance to choose your car!  Simply select the make, model and even the colour of the car you like from the row of the car type you've booked and off you go.  If the car you booked is not available you will be upgraded free of charge.

Look carefully. Some tour operators offer only minimum third party insurance. We continue to offer cars with Third Party of cover of $100,000 per person included, up to a limit of $300,000 per accident and $25,000 property damage. Because we'd never never sell you short.

Don't forget your licence!

You need a full British one - an international driving licence is not needed. There is no minimum time for having had a licence. You must have your original with you and if you have the new style photocard, both parts are required. A faxed copy is not acceptable.

Florida Car hire important booking information

Your car hire package comes with Unlimited mileage, LDW (Loss Damage Waiver), SLI (Supplemental Liability Insurance), UMP (Uninsured/Underinsured motorist protection) and all pre payable taxes and fees. If you upgrade to Platinum this includes all the above plus Additional Drivers (over 25 years) and the initial Tank of Fuel. Taxes and Fees are payable locally on anything you purchase directly with Dollar when you arrive eg Child Seats, Underage Driver fees etc.

Excess – There is no excess if you have an accident, regardless of fault, unless you have invalidated the car insurance eg by drink driving etc.

Fuel – Unless you have taken the Platinum package you will be asked to pre pay for a tank of fuel on arrival. This cost is subject to taxes and fees. You should then return the car empty as there is no refund for unused fuel.

Minimum Ages – Drivers must be aged 25 years or over. Drivers aged 21-24 years may drive but will be required to pay an underage driver fee of between $25-$75 per day on arrival.

Deposit – You may be asked to leave a deposit of up to $250. You must have acredit card in the lead driver's name. Cash is not acceptable.

Driving Licence – You must have a valid UK Driving licence or International Driving licence. If you have the new style licence, please remember to take both parts.
